The module "Introduction to AI (Part I)" starts on Tuesday, 08.10.2024, in lecture room B0.23.
Details on the course's organization will be given during the first lecture on Tuesday.
Artificial Intelligence is a broad topic that covers much more than just deep learning. Many of the fundamental principles whose fancy applications we see today were developed decades ago by brilliant mathematicians and philosophers. Today, we are finally able to leverage the full potential of these algorithms by applying them to large data sets and exploiting the vast computational resources provided by modern computers.
This module provides an introduction to artificial intelligence. It covers foundations, search algorithms, Python programming, basic logic, and intelligent approaches. Thus, students acquire the first theoretical and algorithmic foundations of the broad field of artificial intelligence.
- This course is the first part (AI1) of the module "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence". The second part (AI2) takes place in the upcoming summer semester (SS2025).
- Lecture date: Tuesday, 13:45 - 15:15
- Lecture room: R0.02
- No separate exercises, but relevant exercises in the course and as homework!
Certificate of achievement
- A written exam will take place at the end of the summer semester (SS2025), which covers both the contents of AI1 and AI2.
- Therefore, there is no exam at the end of this semester!
